would the folks with the z-force halfblocks mind sharing some settings to get me up and running quicker?  my kit comes in tomorrow and i'm extremely excited.  seeing how this is my first time dabbling with any sort of cocker, i figure i better ask for some pointers as to how this specific body kit likes to be set up.  here's what i'm looking for (e2):

SON
CDEL
CON
COFF
BALL
EMPTY
EYE Sensitivity

also, what pressure did you fellas sweet spot your inline at?  thanx in advance for any and all help.

It's generally suggested to start with the "factory fast" settings, which are sure to work with almost any cocker. Once you have the gun set up and reliable, then you can fine tine to your specific setup.

With the eye on, factory fast should deliver quite a bit of speed, very likely as much as you need.

If you like, I can give you my Turtle settings, which may be close to what you need for your Z. But I would suggest starting with fact. fast and tuning from there.

thanx for the offer and the tip.  to be honest, the real thing i'm "scared" of is the eye sensitivity and the BALL and EMPTY settings.  since the eye is on the bottom, and reading all these negative theories (with no real proof whatsoever), it has given me the willies.  the "sweet spot" pressure would be nice too since it would save me some time (looks to be a "maddman rocket valve").  not particularly worried about speed seeing as how i'm not the fastest kid in the west, if you will, there's no reason i should pretend to be.  thanx again for the offer, i appreciate it.

I would not sweat the eye too much, just try it at default first. Most likely it will work, but try to avoid very dark paints (although my eblade shoots black paint fine).

Leave the filter settings alone until you have the gun running. Only adjust them after you have it shooting paint reliably and possibly after you have played with it once or twice.

Sweet-spot pressures will vary from gun to gun, but since it's a Merlin-style valve in a full-size body, it should be fairly low. I would say somewhere between 200-250 psi would be a good place to start. Again, you should get the gun shooting reliably first before you try sweetspotting.

excellent, thanx for the tips.

i've got it all setup now with no leaks! Shocked  haven't shot any paint through it, but training mode is a blast!  Cheesy

one "thing" i ran into though was the ram.  i screwed it in with my fingers, some resistance, but if i wingled it, it would keep spinning freely.  well, it turns out i screwed the ram in to much (into the front block), and had to back it out.  this was NOT an easy task...  the ram would not unscrew with my fingers.  even with a wrench it was tough.  i don't believe i crossthreaded it going in, but i also failed to check for burs up in there.  well, i had no choice so kept unscrewing till i herd the tiniest snap (i was prepared to have it break off) at which point i checked to see if that was the right spot to have my ram and it was!  unfortunately, i realize that if i have to take out my ram at any point, i will end up buying a new one Sad.  live and learn i guess...  was tehre something i could have done to prevent this from happening besides deburing the eyelet?

***EDIT***
well, had to move the ram again a smidge, and it moved with no problems, so thankfully nothing's broken.  here's a pic

VERY sweet, those Z-Forces certainly are lookers! I really like the all-black theme, if I could have chosen colors I'd have done all-black myself. PM me or email me about setting up a gallery for your gun, if you'd like to have it featured here.
