It's about time I changed the marker on the front page of the site, so I'd like to put it out to the readers -- what marker (better yet, specifically what picture) should be next?

my SHO
its one of the oldest Half blocks made and it has the bolt pin pulling back the hammer, one of the first to have this innovation

before there was only the proteam micro cocker with the back block pulling the hammer with a pin in the block

if you´d want to go retro, a palmer would be the choice... first halfblock in my eyes.

not really a cocker though

Well a couple things to keep in mind .... there has to be a photo of the gun worthy of being the cover photo to this site. If it's not at least close to the quality of the Karni picture, I probably won't use it. Second, I hesitate to place full custom markers out there. Yeah most halfblocks are at least a little custom. But I would prefer to put a production gun out there, since this site represents ALL halfblock types. Put something too rare out there and people won't be sure they've come to the right place.

Heh Snowman, thanks dude......... Err the answer is seven right now, some just arent finished.. My choice from my collection would be the Procut as its a production model that is still available.. But hay, use the Karni coz its too kewl, lol...I'll get some real pictures of it for yaz... DRG I'd be honored to have one of mine on the front page but there are a lot of sweet ones here on the site

Maybe I am the exception to the rule, but all of my halfblocks have been one-offs.  Even when I bought a complete Martin from eBay, the whole thing was stripped down, shipped off for ano, then rebuilt using the parts that I wanted in the colors that I wanted.  I hand built the whole thing myself.

On another note, given the state of the current cocker market, I think you're going to find that many of the halfblocker owners are die-hard cocker fans.  Planet Eclipse has stopped making/selling the e2.  Many of the aftermarket parts makers have stopped making parts for the Autococker or gone out of business.  I've been in the process of buying parts for the delrin turtle body that I recently ordered and have found it much more difficult to find the parts that I want than it was 1.5 years ago when I built my first turtle.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that this site shouldn't feel a need to focus on entry-level.  Your target audience may be different than you think it is.  I feel a poll coming on.

Is there such a thing as an "entry-level" halfblock?  Anyway that was just a musing, all markers will be considered.

Customers of mine, but its a junk pile body I am afraid. The valve had no jam nut or set screw in it & the valve beat the crap outta the valve seat so badly that is a paperweight now.... Tried to sleeve it but its not looking good

Oh its a Disruptive Procut 06 btw & I spose its mine now as I have milled him a new body & its at anno right now, so I have a $400 paperweight on my desk LOL
