This this is more of a lark idea than a real question.  But since KC has arrived in the forum, it started me thinking.

I really like the look and design of the Catapults...  I've got a Karnivor that I'm tempted to convert to a halfie...  What if a karni-pult could be made?

Since I've never seen a Cat in person, I don't know if it would be possible to convert an existing body to use the Catapult sled-arm and bolt.. let alone get those parts and find someone to do the work (w/o busting up my wallet)

But, since the creator of the Cats is now lurking around and there are people in the know on here I figure I can get some sort of answer.

It cannot be done. The top tube(where the bolt goes) on the Cat is .100 lower than on a stardard AC. This is done so that the midblock aligns correctly to the ram. Besides I could not bring my self to carve up a Karni.

Thanks for the info.

As far a cariving up... though it would probaly require an inordinate amount of time and hand tooling, I'm sure once could make a really nice hybrid between a karni and the upper back section of a catapult.  I can see it in my head, and it would be quite sculptural... But then again I have an art degree and not an engineering one.  So my stuff just has to look nice, there are no requesites for anyting to actaully 'work'

well...if you really like your karni parts you could always slap those on a catapult body if you can get your hands on one.
