Yea the cost should be interesting... On the one hand you have a brand new and exclusive (as of now in terms of the larger manufacturers) type of autococker with some nice milling, light weight and an electronic frame on it.  Props to WGP.  But, on the other hand the milling isn't terribly more elaborate than the 05 pro/super stock, and the pneu's are nothing to brag about.  Plus you have the new WorrFrame which isn't really anything special either, since it can't be adjusted and isn't really suited to the MQ valve.  So all in all in my opinion the gun shouldn't go for much more than the superstock if any more.  But seeing as it is a new design and all they might try to pull something stingy....

and by the way that's not even the STO ram on there... it's either the MP-4 ram (i don't think so) or the ram they had on the 04 prostock, which doesn't even have the nuts on the end so you can take it apart.  Wierd, since this is a downgrade from the previous BM since it's not rebuildable.

I know you more or less invented the term, so maybe you can clear this up. Functionally midblocks are almost the same as halfblocks, so what is the real difference?

On the same note are you upset that they used such a similar design?

I did invent the term midblock. I never liked the word sled. To me a back block in the middle of a AC should be called a midblock. The only real difference is that the block  is enclosed except for the small slot. And no Im not mad that WGP copied my design. I wish they would have asked me for technical advice, I could have saved some time with my 2 years of playing and refining the Catapult I have learned alot. I still believe the MQ-valve will improve the AC more than any other upgrade out there.

So it's not just me that thinks the new BM is like that catapults...  8O  Not sure how to feel about this..

That aside, I think the mQ probably won't work well on the new generation of WGP electronincs that use the Worr-frames.  Since the mQ-valve, valves open time is set by the SON setting for Eclipse frames and the SHOT setting on Race.  The Worr-frame does not have any ability at this time to change that parameter.   As a result the user is totally reliant on the pressure from the inline reg to set their velocity.  This could present some real problems with consistency and efficency if that predefined solenoid on time is too long or too short in the Worr-frame.

I agree.  An MQ'd halfblock/midblock whatever will completely turn the autococker around from old machinery to once again one of the best in my opinion.  It will be small and capable of high rates of fire with low kickback, perfect for a middle or front man.  It's a shame the WGP electro's are designed as they are, although it will be interesting to see how well they work with an MQ valve.  I was reading the mQ instructions that it says to start with a SON time of 4 milliseconds when setting it up, which at least on my E2 is the factory fast time.  So maybe it'll work maybe not, if not i can just swap it out for my E2 (which i'm sure alot of people will do... too bad it doesn't just come with one stock or with something similar.)

For my mQ I found that the instructions base settings were way to generous.  Based on the directions you being with a SON of 4 and your inline near 350.  Personally my cocker (a zero-b karnivor) would have blasted a hole in a building with those settings.  Mel from PBX posted his karni settings of 290 psi and a SON of 4 (on and E1)  I found that in my case, that was too hot and brought the SON down to 3.4 ms.

Based on these experiences, it makes me wonder about the Worr-frame and the mQ.

For the sake of discussion we'll assume that the sear on time in that frame is 4 ms.  If the frame is on a cocker that seems to have as good an air flow as my karni, then the user would need to run their inline below 290.  Which is probably going to take it's toll on the gas efficency.  Also inline pressure below 250 are not recomended in the instructions.  Below a certin pressure point the valve doesn't seal properly.

I might be looking at it half empty, but I don't think the mQ will match up with the Worr-frame well - which is really a shame.

This is just a blip on the radar ...

At the end of this article, the thought of Dynasty possibly shooting the new BM rises ... not very likely, but how great would it be for cockers to be back in the top ranks of pro paintball? Would send the "high end electro" crowd re-examining their closely held beliefs.

Sweet! Wonder how they got their hands on that pic...

on the same note: I hope they do a Blue to black fade... i've always wanted a marker with that fade... besides it has to be one of the most popular fades/color so i think it'd be suicide for them not to do it

and on a similar note (red, white, blue) happy 4th to those in the US.
And to those not in the US: have a nice day anyways.

Those pictures can be found at various sites that will stock it when it comes in. Looks like the price will be somewhere around $750.

Of course I can't find it now, but there are a couple store sites that have added the new BM to their pages.  Of course they are listed as out of stock (since they are not out) but $750 ish is the price point.

Also, if you haven't checked, the new BM is up on www.worr.com.

Well after some poking around i found it on Skanline sports' page for $750, but if you look at their other prices nothing's cheap there so i'm sure it'll cost less other places, especially after a few months.
