I just had a banner competition on my site and it turned out quite well.  You guys might want to try it and see what your users can come up with.  The only reason I suggest this is because I think this is one of the best sites I've come across and the banner just doesn't seem to be up to par with the rest of the site.  I already got some great ideas for a banner brewing in my head  :wink:
