Now I could be wrong, but I don't think the Vampyre would fare well as a halfblock. Tubed designs in general probably are not the best selection for various reasons.
Wait, do you mean the Vampyre Half Ass body? Don't get the two mixed up, the original Vampyre is a tubed full-body which would probably fall apart if used as a halfblock.

yep I am taking about the half assed body. I think it will look sick. I am going to get it custom anno'ed and built with all internals. it will cost me about $500-$600 for the body and internals alone. depending on how in depth i want it to be.

I haven't heard many negative reports about FBM halfblocks in general. I say go for it.

I think FBM does a good job of getting their products to customers. Its nice to have a body all ready to go like the halfass. Go with it.

basicaly i am close to having enough to get one but i still need to sell some stuff. FBM is the only company that has gotten back to me that sells whole bodies that i like. I really like the fastback by doc's machine but his reputation of just not being user friendly turned me off. so sence FBM stands by their work and are willing to work with me I am going to work with them. customer service is key with me.
anything I need to watch for when puting a pump frame on a half block besides possibly having to make a custom pump rod. or would buying a stock cocker pump rod work?

Stock cocker may work but probably not. Working pump rod is all youl have to do.

ok now it is going to get trickier. I just bought a ccm autotrigger w/ the full pump kit and 89* frame all I need is a shorter autotrigger pump rod any ideas? I could send the pump rod out and have it shortend and rethreaded but I would rather not. any ideas?

Shortening it is your best bet. Drilling the hole in the side of the rod isn't fun.
