I am looking to build another Halfblock cocker after the one i am working on is finished. I plan on building it and doing a Raffle for it where the money goes to Mel and Rod similar to one that was done on the phantom owners group (phog) not to long ago with a phantom. That Raffle rased two grand. For those of you that dont know Rod needs an operation and doesn't have the health ins to cover it. I only know Mel and Rod from a few calls and e-mails but they are some of the nicest people I have ever come in contact with.

For right now I am looking to see what would peak interest in a halfblock. I am thinking either a CCM pump or CCM pneumatic front block or both so you have an option. I plan on packing it with as much CCM stuff in it as possible. That way they are recieving from all angles.

I want to help the best way I can. I plan on buying the parts and building it myself.  It would be possible to do a custom anno.

let me know what you think. thanks -Aaron

ok well I just quickly priced out the parts it would take to get this project going and it looks like it will cost about $1100 to build the way I want it to be (with new parts, body, new tank, and hopper) I could leave the tank and hopper out and it would bring it to about $900.

My perdiciment is this... If I was to build it and raffle it on every forum i belong to and at local fields would I be able to raise enough money that it would counter the $900-1100 or should I raise the money and just send it to them..... I am relying on the fact that a halfblock autotriggerd ccm sniper will generate enough interest that it would be worth it.

basicaly... say i put $1100 into it and the Raffle only adds up to $1000.. just something i am thinking. I plan on doing it anyways I am just trying to guage the interest. they would be getting the money from the parts as well. I will try to generate as much interest with my own personal sniper (when the rest of the parts get here) and build another like it.

sorry lol me rambling..... let me know what you guys think.

How much are you planning to sell the raffle tickets for?

You might see if you can get people to pledge to buy some tickets before you decide to build it to gauge interest.  Even if you only sold a few hundred in raffle tickets, CCM would still come out ahead if you buy most of the parts from them.  Unfortunately, the market for halfblock pumps isn't probably going to be huge.

I wouldnt take tickets before the gun is done. I actualy am still waiting to here back from Mel. I mentioned to her possibly building it and sending it to her so there is no way i can back out like i have seen on other forums. that way people who buy tickets will know that I wont back out. I am just waiting on the ok from Mel then I will start buying the parts.
