Greetings!

This is my first post but have done some research but can not seem to find the answer to the following question(s):

Has anyone put the MQ2 in a RaceGun 05 Halfblock?  I think there has been some back in the day have MQ'd their 05 Halfblock but the info is limited (as far as I can tell).

I have been talking with the James who sells the MQ2 and we are trying to figure out which valve will fit in the 05 Halfblock body.  The question is whether the 05 Halfblock uses a standard valve or the oversized 11/16" valve.

I do not want to tear down the marker for it works great and am waiting to put on the Belsales with QEVs before tearing it down with intent to install MQ2 and time the thing

  .

I know these things are quite rare and believe I now own the Green to Black fade that is pictured in the Gallery.  I will post pics soon.  Thanks everyone--Cheers!

- Billdo.

I am 99% sure it takes a standard valve, 11/16 valves were not very common in cockers in 05.

Pre 2k cockers use standard cocker valves and have a smaller valve chamber.

The larger MQ valves (I think) are for Merlins, the newer midblocks like the Karni and '05 Black Magic, and Trilogies.  While the valve chamber (front block) on '99 and older was smaller, I think the valve size remained the same as I've never seen a pre-2k valve listed anywhere.  I know for a fact that the smaller MQ valves are NOT for pre-2k cockers.

I had a standard MQ1 in my Halfie but the board hated it.  From what I understand this is not a problem with the MQ2's.

Better get used to tearing it down you have to rebuild that MQ2 when it fails or leaks

MQs are fairly reliable, I've been using the 'crap Taiwanese model' since 2005 and have never had to tear the gun down for the mQ.

Are you using a Raceframe or an E2 with your MQ Valve?
