Hello all i just got my hands on my first halfcocker and im lovn it.  It just has one small problem that I didnt know about.  The barrel threading is messd up.  I cant get the barrel to screw on all the was, it goes in about 2 threads than stops.  I took it to the shop and they said that they had a tap to redrill it but they cant find it.  Anyway any of you know anyone who does this?  Thanx for the help KEN

I think the cocker tap is a fairly common airsmith item ... can you see what is jamming up the threads?

I have a knock off micro mag some guy made a few of but when they chromed it, it made the threads stick the same way. Just a to give ya a little more info on why it might be messed up in the first place.  Same thing will happen with ano , nickel, and powder coat if you don't block off the opening or don't have the threads retapped when done. :twisted:

ok I dont know now im really lost I took my stock sto barrel and tryd it out.  It went on like butter but my freak still wont go on, but my freak  will screw onto my sto.  Anyone ever had anything like this happn 2 them?

it's all about the individual Barrel I bought a 14" knock out and a 12" knock out at the same time and only one fit the other went 3 threads and locked  :twisted:

Tolerances on the Freak are tighter than the stock, it seems ...
