I have always wanted a halfblocked autococker. i know i shouldnt but i want to try my hand at milling my own. If any one has any schemadics and instructions it would be greatly appreciated. I also wanted to know what is the purpose of the sled?

the sled takes the place of the back block. the half block's pull pin act like the cocking rod and pull pin.
